Ms.
Heth is the Executive Director at Wiconi
Wawokiya, Inc (Helping Families) in Ft. Thompson, SD (http://wiconiwawokiya.org/AboutUs.html). She will speak about her work with women and
children in crisis, providing a safe haven for them to heal and grow – and how
God has provided as she lives His purpose.
Lisa Heth was awarded the national Crime Victim Service
Award from the Department of Justice in 2015, and Lisa gives glory to God for
illuminating His purposes in her life. “We’ve gone through some tough times
over the years, so I wouldn’t feel right not to give glory and honor to our
Creator for his guidance and his ability to show me the way and provide me with
the strength to sustain and keep going.”
Wiconi Wawokaya is also dedicated to ending Human
Trafficking and will be opening Pathfinder Center, which will provide housing,
counseling, healing, and respect to women seeking help.
