Pierre Aglow Prison Ministry – Annual Report 2015

Pierre Aglow Prison Ministry partners with local supporters to show God’s love to prison inmates. We are so blessed to be able to carry out the words of Matthew 25:36 (“I was in prison and you visited me“). A very special thank all who have supported us, for your ministry, encouragement, prayers, and financial blessing. Thank you and God bless you.

Pierre Aglow Prison Ministry brings a speaker and worship team to two prison units during the 4th weekend of each month. Prayer partners outside the prison carry the inmates’ written prayer requests before the Father. We distribute a monthly newsletter, ‘Burning,’ to Aglow attendees, and send birthday cards to attendees. Opportunities for ministry abound inside and outside the SDWP - please contact us if you have a passion for prison ministry. For more information, please check our Facebook page and our blog at http://www.pierreaglow.blogspot.com/.

Our speakers at the prison during 2015 have been Sarah McKinley (Pierre, SD), Carla Noe (Sioux Falls, SD), Karen Nelson (Elkton, SD), Pastor Jeff Mann - Purity and Restoration Seminar (Huron, SD), Pastor Dan Hammer by video, Denette Eisnach Becker (Pierre, SD), Pastor Joe Henson (Pierre, SD), Patricia Harrington (San Marcos, TX), Patricia Messer and Lisa Bollock (Rapid City, SD), Kathryn Murray (Sioux Falls, SD), Teresa Bray (Pierre, SD), Myrna Buckles and Anita Brehe (PIerre, SD), Betsy Moeller (Rosholt, SD), and Sande Lofberg (Rapid City, SD). Pierre Aglow Meeting with Sande Lofberg, Saturday, November 22, 6:30 pm

Saturday, November 22, 6:30 pm,
NEW LIFE ASSEMBLY, 1120 N. Harrison, Pierre, SD
Sande Lofberg, US Director, Aglow International for the Great Plains Rocky Mountain Region. Sande has so many great things to share, and the Lord ministers prophetically and with healing through her. We will begin at 6:30 pm with snacks and fellowship – please bring something to share.

Sande was born on February 14, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska. Raised in a Unitarian home, Sande learned to appreciate others who were different than she was culturally, spiritually, economically. She tried many avenues to find a personal relationship with God. After some personal failures and a shattered marriage, the love of Jesus came into her life in 1975 at Mountain Home AFB, ID. His love healed her physically of chronic asthma and allergies, emotionally of depression and spiritually in her relationship with Him. The healing encompassed her marriage and her husband, John, returned to the Lord. They have two grown daughters, and six grandchildren.
Women and men are welcome - please bring a snack to share. There will not be childcare available.

Aglow International Conference Blog

Here is the link for the Aglow 2014 Conference Blog. It gives great detail on each session of the conference - and it's so nice to read someone else's notes for a change!

For instance, below is a note from Glenna Remington (East River Area Board), followed by my own notes about the same word:

Word from Aglow International Conference 2014- Albuquerque, New Mexico, for Native Americans

                                                      by Julie Meyer

I'm after the First Nations! Great revelation of the Great Spirit to the chiefs, pick you up like a paint brush, paint a picture of the Great Spirit, different reservations paint the same picture. When they see me they will know.

You are not forgotten, I'm pouring out a blessing on you. Sign my name on clay, creativity. I see casinos closing and opening as houses of prayer, resurrection centers!

It's gonna happen, you know the ways of the wind, rain and ways of the Spirit when I step, going to go the ways of the Great Spirit and lead the way. You're not forgotten, bless, bless God, be joyful, no longer be drunk with the wine of the world, but the wine of the Spirit. Write your name in the picture says the Lord.

"First Nations peoples will begin to paint the very same picture of the Great Spirit.  I will pick them up by the paintbrush and use them.  Casinos closing & reopening as Houses of Prayer. Creativity, resurrection - they'll lead the way. You are not forgotten - I love to bless."

Eagle & Dove Ministries: June 28, 2014, Morning Gathering at 9:30 am, 5:30 pm Potluck and Evening Gathering

Karen Elliott, Pastor Donna Milham, Chickie Taylor, Wayne Taylor

Pierre Aglow Welcomes Eagle and Dove Ministries

Saturday, June 28, 2014
Morning Gathering at 9:30 am
5:30 pm Potluck Dinner and Evening Gathering
1120 N. Harrison, Pierre, SD (New Life Assembly of God)
Please Bring a Dish and a Friend!
Men and Women are Welcome, Childcare Will Not Be Provided.

Eagle and Dove Ministries' vision is for an army of His people to arise, whose lives are not their own, who live for His Heart’s Desires. A people who know who they are, Whose they are, and from this revelation will fulfill all the dreams God has for their lives. Eagle and Dove Ministries is a Center which is also a Church that trains and releases God’s people to walk as pioneers who will then bring transformation to a region and to this nation.
Eagle and Dove team were in Lower Brule with this group in 2012

Chickie Taylor view of Lower Brule horses

They love to release fresh sounds and songs that mingle with revelatory teaching and prophetic decrees to bring people deeper into the Heart of God. Their vision is that God’s Kingdom plans would come forth and a people would arise from hearts of devotion unto the King of Kings. They have a passion for the Body to corporately encounter and minister to the Lord. Their dream is that the world will know His Jealous Roar of passionate love and respond in holy abandonment.

Peter King captured this vision during worship at the SD Women's Prison in 2012

Through the gifts of worship, teaching and the arts they love to weave a tapestry of God’s nature and character so that every eye may see and every ear may hear the goodness and greatness of His Name.

Chickie Taylor view of Oahe Tailrace (and Wayne)

They believe this is the hour for a holy takeover – a holy revolution – holy visitation for the transformation of our lives, that we would have His divine nature deposited within our spirit. That visitation would lead us further into the reality of being carriers of His Glory, a place where He abides. We then can be a people willing to leave the comfortable and familiar and pioneer as Holy Spirit leads and bring forth transformation to a region and to this nation.

Several on this team/tribe have Native American heritage. They have a heart for the indigenous peoples of the world to arise in this hour. Through the ministry of reconciliation and restoration, a place would be made through true covenant relationship for their unique giftings from God to come forth, and a platform would be given for them to take their place in the body of Christ.

Pierre Aglow meeting Saturday, February 22, 7 pm
New Life Assembly in Pierre (1120 N. Harrison Ave)

Pierre Aglow welcomes Karen Nelson, and her two daughters, Brooke and Bridgette.

“Our vision is to cultivate a deep lifestyle of dwelling in His presence to such a degree that it overflows powerfully into our ministry to people. Karen Nelson, from Enoch Farm near Elkton, SD, has been asked many times about her creative style of journaling. She and her daughters Brooke and Bridgette will present a short message plus a hands-on workshop with all kinds of creative elements for the attendees who will begin their own personal journal. Seeking God's Presence

Earlier this week, I prayed with a young woman who was feeling like she had loss the Presence of God in her life. We talked and prayed, but I didn't feel like I had any viable suggestions until later, so I sent her this message: "In the next day or so after we spoke and prayed, I felt like there were a couple of other things that might help you feel closer to the Lord. • Spiritual disciplines (especially prayer and Bible reading) are always the first thing everyone mentions because so few are faithful with them (including myself). I’m so glad to know you are going forward with regular prayer and Bible reading, which enables us as Christians to stand our ground. Just like it says in Revelation 13: 10b (which speaks of a time during the Great Tribulation, but also applies to today), “Meanwhile God’s holy people passionately and faithfully stand their ground.” (The Message) You are doing well by standing firm in these disciplines. • One thing that has helped me to grow closer to God has been more repentance. At a very crucial moment in my life, I was overwhelmed with tears (hours of them) and the only way I was able to stop was asking God to forgive me for whatever it was. It was several years before I even knew what I had been repenting for. But that moment of repentance opened the door for layers and layers of healing that’s happened since. It might be that you have nothing to repent – but asking God to show you can open a door to His Presence. Sylvia Gunter’s ‘Prayer Portions’ might help you work through some areas of repentance and forgiveness. (I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have a hard time getting started.) Consider each question – maybe one or two a day, and search your soul for any way you might have agreed with evil, and ask God to forgive and redirect you. (“See if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me into life everlasting.” – Psalm 139:24) • Others have testified that at times it seems like the Lord hides himself in order that we will seek Him more diligently. Whether or not that’s the case here, this is definitely a time to establish and develop more trust in God. He is there – He is active – He is for you, not against you. * I believe the spiritual warfare you need to do involves prophecying to yourself. Tell yourself, like the psalmist, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 42:5. Speak the Scriptures out loud to yourself. • And finally, a quote from Mike Bickle (International House of Prayer): “The small prayers of weak and broken people move the heart of God.” Even if you're 'not feeling it'. Sylvia Gunter's devotional 'Seeking God' is at this link:

From Glory to Glory - 2013

It's been almost a year since I posted! Pierre Aglow has continued with prison ministry in two different venues each month, with occasional local meetings included in the mix.

January 2013 brought Karen and Steve Nelson from Elkton, SD, who ministered with us a the prison and at a local meeting held in our home. This is a visual interpretation Karen created around the concepts in the Beatitudes.

In February 2013, the team 'Sounds of Grace' from around Olivet, SD, presented a sketch developed from Katie Souza's series on "The Key to Your Expected End".They also presented copies of Katie Souza's book to prison inmates. The team ministered effectively at a local meeting as well.

In March 2013, Pastor Brad Gienger from Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pierre, SD, ministered with Aglow at the prison. It was an awesome and fulfilling time of worship and the Word.

April 2013 brought Jeff and Autumn Mann from James River Church in Huron, SD, who presented a 3-part Healing Retreat last weekend. Simultaneously, Colleen and Ivan Venner ministered in worship and word at the other unit.

And here we are with May 2013!  Kathryn (Kit Murray) will minister with an abbreviated Aglow team (limited by conflicting graduation engagements), but I know it will be powerful!

Sunday, April 15, 2012

Pierre Aglow Prison Ministry hosted The Father's Heart Retreat with Jeff and Autumn Mann on April 13 and 14. Jeff and Autumn pastor James River Church in Huron, SD. The retreat was awesome! They will be offering the retreat again this fall in Huron, and we highly recommend it.

Jeff and Autumn's retreat materials were based on ministry offered by John and Sarah Urich at "Light to the Nations Fellowship" headquartered in Sanford, FL  This video introduces their Father's Heart Encounter. More information is available from Jeff and Autumn or John and Sarah at these websites.

Meeting in Homes - What a (Biblical) Concept!

Pierre Aglow hosted a local 'home meeting' on March 24, to make sure we got the most from Nancy Bartel and Sharon Owen in addition to their weekend of ministry at the prison. Every time we host a home meeting, we are sold again on them again. It was so fulfilling - wonderful attendance, worship, fellowship and ministry.

Donna Chopper ministers to Nancy Bartel.

Altar Time

Ministry and worship at the close of the meeting.

We have sometimes been uncertain about hosting a home meeting, but were encouraged to read this the next day:

Chuck Pierce in “Time to Defeat the Devil”, p. 3-4, in the section ‘Believe That You Can and You Will’:

"…In this season we must rehearse the Word. What revelation has come to you? That is what you use to war in the world around you. We must meditate on what God says until the power of that revelation enters our bloodstream and cell structure.

We also must learn to worship and minister in our homes. Doing so will allow our gifts to be activated in a new way in small groups. When the time comes that we are not free to worship publicly in our church buildings, we will already know how to continue worshiping in our homes….”
